So far, as a group we have managed to produce various shots using a professional video camera for our teaser trailer. We have narrowed down these shots to the ones that have the potential to be a part of our teaser trailer. Each person in the group had a chance to operate the equipment. We have used a video camera, lights and a tripod. It can be said that, as a group we have made a great deal of progress, even our Media teacher has realised this. Additionally, we have distributed the first half of our questionnaire, and a significant amount of people have responded to this. We are on the verge of releasing the second half of the questionnaire, as it is also ready for distribution.
Right now, we are currently in the process of editing the shots for our trailer. It has been brought to our attention that we need to be preparing to produce shots for our media film magazine and the actual poster. So in addition to editing our trailer, we are now taking pictures that have the potential to be used for our magazine and poster. Each member of the group is looking forward to the tasks set ahead.

Making Scabs, Scars & Wounds
On November 11th an industry professional expert came into the college to show our class some of the basics,on how to produce the perfect and most realistic scab, scar or wounds for films.
He gave us a chance to experiment with the substances and equipment and below are some of the pictures, I took when testing my skills from what he had taught us.
These pictures are in step by step order, as to how Iproduced the final product, using Teniolas hand as my model.
Pre-made wounds & the making of the a slit wrist, applying Latext to set.
Again the application of blood, slightly tilting Teniola hand so the blood can slither down.

Deborah applying the Latext onto Teniola's hand so the pre-made wound would stick to her skin in order for it to look as realisic as possible.
Me drying the Latext and and the scab for Teniola's hand so the scab will stick firmly.
Me Applying the makeup to Teniola's hand so the make-up and foundation blends well into her skin to look as realistic as possible.
Make-up application finished, with blends of green, purple and reds.
Close-up shot- Revealing more detail
Dabbing fake blood onto the wound with a paint brush, in order to get into the cracks and creases
Again the application of blood, slightly tilting Teniola hand so the blood can slither down.
Final Result/ Product
Which I was very pleased with.

Progress Update - 10th November 2010
At this precise moment, my group and I have already began our audience research by uploading our questionnaire onto a website (Survey Monkey), and are now waiting for more responses. So far 10 people have responded to our questionnaire. We also need to film a few more shots before we begin editing. We are also uploading more stuff onto Blogger to show our progress.

Possible Locations Shots Part 4
We looked at indoor and outdoor places which we thought would benefit our teaser trailer. The possible locations we looked at reflected the sort of settings we needed in our teaser trailer. We also thought that with lighting and the right costume and make-up, it would come out quite good on film.

Possible Locations Shots Part 3
When looking at outdoor places, we had to remember that we can't control outdoor lighting. So if we decided to film outside, we'd have to get it done in one day, in a short amount of time, as the weather and lighting can change at any point in time.
Possible Locations Shots Part 2
When considering possible positions, we looked at indoor and outdoor places, considering both lighting, the quality, the effect and if it would work well with our storyline and storyboard. We placed Nashay in the photo at certain points so that, we could really potray the act of the thriller and see if it worked well.
Possible Location Shots Part 1
My group and I went around our college and looked at specific locations which would fit our script and storyboard and work well for our teaser trailer. Below are the photos of places we considered.
Final Idea & Concept
This is our final storyboard and and sketches. This idea was inspired by the profitable Horror movie 'Orphan'. Our storyline is about two school kids who are the same age and are both knowledgeable. However one child has lost both parents and suffers serverly from a rare disease which affects her eyes, she is an isolated indivual. It is mandotory that she wears her 'special' glasses at all times. One of her classmates decides to remove her glasses, which is her only comfort and so her secret is revealed, she lives her life by the slogan 'Revenge Is Sweet, But Blood Is Sweeter'... What will she do to the bully?
Questionnaire & Results Part 1
My group and I came up with 20 questions in which to ask people, so we could get a gist of what to provide them in our trailer, poster and movie magazine. We needed to get the opinion of others as it was them who would be viewing our final products. So we wanted to make sure we addressed the correct audience by giving them what they expected and deserved. The first 1-10 questions are listed below with the results of the public given in charts.
The charts above and below help give my team members and I an easier job of creating our trailer, poster and movie magazine front cover. Knowing what the public; (our target audience) want is the key essential to producing a successful ending product. These results give us an explanation as to what our audience would prefer to see and what they wouldn't like to see. From these results, we can begin the process of creating our trailer, poster and movie magazine to please our audience.
Producing a questionnaire and having people answer it, is very helpful as it gives us a steady foundation from where we can start building collective ideas. From knowing what the public don't want to see, we can come together and produce what they do want. As with these results, we can only go higher and achieve better things for our final product.

Research: Potential Consumers
We are currently making questionnaires to give out, we are going to distribute 60 in total but divide the questionnaire by three so we will then have 20 each and feed the results back to each other, the results will reflect exactly what we need to consider and do as a film production company in order to meet the consumers demand. We will then distinguish between weather male or female watch horror movies more in this day and age. Weather for example consumers like fictional horror movies or real life events, based on true stories like 'Paranormal Activity'.
We plan to also upload the questionnaire to social websites such as facebook, twitter, and survey monkey to get an idea of what young adults would like to see.
As a group we chose these three websites in particular because we know that males and females aged 16-24 always use social networking sites and this is the age range which conventional horror movies target. This will also build a platform for which our targeted audience and storyline will be based upon, because as a production company it is our duty to meet the demand and needs of the consumers as the uses of gratification state.
New technology such as the iPhone and Blackberry mobile phones has enabled us to also contact potential consumers via Blackberry messenger and the Internet, which is going to build up our awareness and more people will be looking out for our teaser trailer and advertising products (Synergy).

Teaser Trailer Treatment
TEASER TRAILER TREATMENT
THE END.
Format: Video
Genre: Horror
Subgenre: Thriller, Mystery & Supernatural
Length: 30-55 seconds
Synopsis: Teenage girl of an Asian background is introduced to the audience. Kaiju looks like a normal teenager on the outside but suffers from a rare disease were her mentality is of a younger generation (7 or 8yrs old) while she is currently 16yrs old. Kaiju has a problem with her eye which is unknown to anyone. Her eyes are always covered with glasses. When she’s approached one day on her own, by a female who sees her alone and acting out of the ordinary the horror begins. Kaiju is always on her own and doesn’t like company at all, so when the female tries to take off Kaiju’s glasses for the first time ever the thriller and mystery begins. As the plan of the innocent female trying to help her backfires. The horror shows how Kaiju handles the situation with the female and the rest of her story is unfolded.
Intended Audience: The targeted audience for our trailer will be young adults aged between 16-24 – both male and female. Our targeted ethnicity will be Asians and Afro-Caribbean’s. We chose this ethnicity as our target audience as most horror films are not targeted at Afro-Caribbean’s and we wanted to set a trend and change that as it seems quite discriminating as Afro-Caribbean’s enjoy horror films too. Some of the dialogue, actions we plan to include will show how we are trying to attract our audience.
Extra Information: As a group, we intend to attract our audience by meeting their entertainment needs and show-casing their desired views and fascination. We will be airing our audience research and trailer on social websites worldwide such as; YouTube, Facebook, Twitter etc. This will enable us to receive positive and negative criticisms in order for us to improve our technical skills. We intend to do this with the assistance of specialist equipment and computer software. This will include high megapixel cameras, and recording apparatus. Additionally, in order to complete our assigned task, we will need to use ‘Adobe Photoshop’ to manipulate our photographs and produce a professional poster, promoting our film and movie magazine that will enhance the promotion and advertisement of our film.

Our First Idea, Why We Changed It, Draft Of Story Board And Rough Sketches
The drawings below show a rough sketch of our first idea, and the concept.
The first idea we came up with as a group was an old lady who was trapped in a young womans life, this young women has stayed the same age on the inside however she ages on the outside.
We changed our idea because we realised we had a limited amount of time and equipment to pursue this idea so as a result we had to change our idea and change the story board:
